Bocci 79 · Berlin, Germany

The 2200 square meter historic space houses over a decade of Arbel’s works; which flit between the genres of architecture, sculpture, and design. The room-sized installations have given glamorous new life to the formerly disused building, which stood empty for five years before its transformation. Constructed in the late 1890s, the building was originally used as a courthouse before becoming a municipal office in 1945. Renovated by acclaimed architects Grüntuch-Ernst, the 44 room property reopened in 2015 as Bocci 79—perfectly timed to celebrate the brands tenth anniversary.
